Is StrangersClub really free to use?

Yes, 100%! All public regional lounges, text chats, 1-on-1 audio/video calls, and multiplayer games are completely free. There are no mandatory paywalls to chat with other users.
Can I join as a guest without creating an account?

Absolutely. You can select "Guest Mode" on the entrance screen, pick a display name and avatar color, and jump straight into rooms in less than 3 seconds without entering any email or password.
How do voice and video calls work?

Calls are powered by our low-latency WebRTC Selective Forwarding Unit (SFU) powered by LiveKit. Connections are established in real time directly inside your browser with zero plug-in installations.
Are calls private and secure?

Yes. Audio and video streams are end-to-end encrypted using standard DTLS/SRTP WebRTC protocols. Your IP address is masked by our SFU relay servers so other callers cannot track your physical location.
What is a Local Hub?

A Local Hub is an isolated regional community running on its own subdomain (e.g.
kerala.strangersclub.ernakulam.net). Hubs feature city-specific rooms, regional languages, and local moderation.
How does my city get its own Hub?

Navigate to our Local Hubs page and vote for your city or submit a new region request. Once a candidate city reaches 100 verified requests, our team officially deploys its regional cluster!
What perks do StrangersClub VIP users receive?

How do I become a Room Moderator?

Room moderators are elected democratically by the community based on XP and positive contributions, or appointed by platform administrators. Moderation elections occur periodically in active regional lounges.
How do I block or report an abusive user?

Click on any user's avatar or message in the chat feed and select "Block" to immediately hide their messages and calls, or click "Report" to submit an automated log to active room moderators.
Does StrangersClub sell my personal data?

Never. StrangersClub is 100% open source and privacy-first. We do not sell data to third-party ad brokers, track you across the web, or require your phone number or contacts.
Can I install StrangersClub as an app on my phone?

Yes! StrangersClub is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Open the site on Chrome (Android) or Safari (iOS), tap "Share" or the three dots menu, and select "Add to Home Screen" for a full-screen, native-feeling app experience.
